My Weary Feet

From the moment my feet touch the floor each morning next to my bed, to the time I lift them from that same spot at night, they're in constant motion. The unnoticed details, like the gradual orange ring in the toilet or scattered spit on the bathroom mirror, seem to be my burden alone. Perhaps I'm overly meticulous or burdened by high cleanliness standards. Does it really matter if we shower in mildew-darkened tubs? Maybe it's just me. The mounting dishes, the lingering smell in the dishwasher, and the debris underfoot on my way to the kitchen for morning coffee shouldn't concern me, or should they? If no one else notices or cares, why let it bother me? Should I be indifferent to my son's morning routine, evident in his breath and teeth when I pick him up from school? Is it acceptable that his skin resembles a scaly snake, his lips cracked, and his grooming habits subpar? Am I merely a nagger, fussing over visible earwax and overdue clipping of his toenails? Could I...

Never Let a Man Put Hands on YOU

I saw blood gush down my mom's mouth and chin after getting punched by my drunk dad. Remember it like it was yesterday. I was standing outside her bedroom door listening to their argument when she suddenly opened the door holding her hands to her face. She was headed to the bathroom.  My dad followed after her violently and I quickly stood in between them to protect her.  I think I was about 10 or 11 years old but I was ready to fight him with all that I had! A rage of anger took over me and I decided in my heart to NEVER let a man put hands on me, abuse me or bring me down.  This is where feisty Patty was born. In every relationship with men that followed I took control immediately.  I set the tone from the beginning that I don't cook, clean nor slave after any man!  You feed yourself and do your own laundry!  I made it clear that I could curse you out when I got angry but don't you dare curse at me or I'd hit you.  I'd buy and wear what I want...

I'm tired and losing my faith!

I'm tired! Tired of worrying and carrying burdens that are not even mine to carry. They say you have to stay strong but I have been strong for way too long.   I'm not as strong as many may think or I make myself to be.  Turns out I've been in survival mode for decades. Wondering if instead of strength, it has been adrenaline sustaining me all this time. But I'm running out.  I'm tired! Tired of holding this shovel that I was given as a child. Used it to dig a hole deep enough to bury my emotions for all the years to come. I will not let weakness get in the way of my role - being the protector. Emotions are a crutch so it's important to bury them immediately. Crying could only be done in silence otherwise the others could sense the truth. And the truth would break them and I could not let that happen. I'm tired! Tired of wearing this mask. I don't want to be pitied so I just dwindle away in hiding. Very few notice the silence. It's better that way b...

Choke-hold!

When I was 10 my dad incited a fight and then watched me be put into a choke-hold by a bully and left me to defend myself. Gotta love my dad and his ways of teaching survival skills. Forget the scouts lessons on how to make a fire out of rocks and sticks. Those tools didn't help in the projects where I grew up. This is what happened! One summer day while waiting in line at the ice cream truck, a boy on his bike hit me with the front tire and pushed me out of the way to cut in line. I was a frail child weighing a possible 49 pounds soak and wet. Soon as it happened I turned to find my dad for help. I go over to my dad and tell him that a boy hit me, pointing at the kid as I tattled. My dad walked back with me to the ice cream truck and called out to the kid. "You hit my daughter?" he asked in his strong boricua accent. I stood there with a 'that's right m*f and a grin on my face', waiting for the aftermath of what was about to happen. My dad was no joke! Then I...

Forgive without an apology

Over 15 years ago, I frantically drove up and down the Berlin Turnpike looking for my husband. I entered every single motel on that strip, slowly driving through each parking lot checking for his car. I called his cell phone countless times leaving numerous voicemails begging him to please answer me. With smudged eyeliner all over my face, I could barely see through the tears as I sped up and down the strip in my car. And if that wasn't bad enough, I had left behind my six year old daughter sleeping home alone (thankfully she didn't wake up). Talk about poor desperate choices!   A woman's brokenness is usually rooted from childhood experiences. Insecurities planted way back before they became young adults. Beliefs of being less than or not good enough subconsciously programmed into the mind. It's not noticeable right away but it changes their behavior. Later in life, she accepts constantly being rejected, disrespected and manipulated by their spouse. Just like the ocean...

Good evening Queen Bees! I hope and pray that this video reaches the right person at the right time, and that healing finds them in return. Blessings!   P.S. Had to edit the video to make it as short as possible so please excuse the music cutting in and out.

Stop The Cycle of Broke Mentality In Your Family.

On this Vlog I share how my 22 year old daughter Thalia is on a plan to save a half million dollars by putting away only $50 per month.

Buffalo by Choice

Hola Queen ( and King) Bees! I got this cup as a gift from my mentor recently as a symbol of perseverance. "Entrepreneur by Birth, BUFFALO by Choice" Are you a Buffalo? Let me tell you the story of the Buffalo vs the Cow.... the way it was revealed to my spirit. Animals can sense when a storm is coming. When a tornado makes its way through a field a Cow gets scared. It starts running away from the tornado. Eventually the slow and tired cow gets sucked up by the storm causing it pain and long suffering (probably death). A Buffalo on the other hand sees the tornado coming and gets ready to take it on. As the storm gets closer the buffalo charges at full speed straight into the storm. The buffalo is able to break through the storm and come out from the other side. Less pain, less suffering, no death! When life's storms show up in your life, are you a cow or are you a Buffalo?
1980s... Age 11-ish.   I was the kind of kid that played hide and seek in the projects, running past drug dealers and smoke filled stairwells to find a good hiding spot. But even all that fun couldn't keep me from stopping dead in my tracks when I came by the tall building at the top of the hill. The windows on the first floor were at the perfect height and if the shades were up high enough I could see all the excitement inside.   It was the leasing office. There was just something about seeing someone behind a desk and watching their fingers move gracefully along the typewriter, the way the receptionist held the phone receiver between her shoulder and ear while flipping through important documents. I was captivated by the office employees walking back and forth, they all seemed so busy. But I was especially intrigued with my friend's mom, also our neighbor, who had assumed the position of office manager. A working mom was not the norm where I was from. So to me, it was...

A Force To Be Reckoned With

A Force To Be Reckoned With Year 1999! The last thing on my mind was not whether someone could get hurt, all I wanted was to get the anger out! My only focus was smashing into my ex’s new Chrysler. He was going to pay for all my frustration. As I got closer to his car that was perfectly parked in front of his house on Bellevue St, Hartford, I hit the gas head on at full speed. I felt my car crashing into his car smashing the passenger side door and pushing the vehicle up on the sidewalk. Ignoring the whiplash and the damage to my car, I quickly hit reverse and sped off as if I had just robbed a bank. Hittin like 70 on Windsor St, tears coming down my face…. I looked through the rear view mirror and noticed I was being chased. It was on now! I cut back up Pavillion Street to lose them but at the top of the hill, his brothers driving a second car, were waiting. I was blocked. I get out of the car and kick off my heels. My ex and his brothers are coming straight at me like “what the F...
Well Hello my little working bees! I hope everyone has been well and healthy. It's been a while so I wanted to bring you a little treat on the topic: Becoming Intentional Many of us are stuck in rut, making little to no progress in our life. This can go on for years and years, and eventually become sort of like a curse of procrastination! In this short video I am sharing how I became intentional about my life, my dreams, my goals and my to-do list! Hope this helps. God bless! When I began to use my planner, my life changed.

Finally got my 2021 planner. While my google calendar is great for alarm reminders, there is nothing like writing down your daily goals and blocking out what your day is going to look like. The act of putting paper to pen creates a neurological pattern in your brain that makes the vision obtainable. This does not happen when you simply type into your smart phone or computer. When I began to use my planner, my life changed. I became more discipline and intentional. I started accomplishing many goals I had set up for myself and my income increased. Get your! Be intentional! Vlog: https://fb.watch/4DclkEvYQ7/

Day In the Life of A MOM

Lort hep me! (In my Madea's voice)   Do not let this T Shirt fool you peeps! I have a side of me I rather not show. Like when something makes me go from 0 to 100 in half of a second. Like when I start the day singing halleluyerzzz and somehow by evening I am in a war zone throwing F bombs cussing in between sentences.   It is not easy man! I try! I promise I do! God knows my ❤.... I hope!   So a day like yesterday. I woke up motivated and happy.   Things took a turn for the worse when my 14 year old showed up at my side with bleached h air. Never mind just color dye which at her age I do NOT approve of anyways BUT even worse. Bleached! Like... did I say BLEACHED! A job done by my oldest 22 year old daughter who did not care to ask me permission. Who thought it was cute to encourage such abominable disobedience. Leading my 14 year old to a downward spiral of rebellion! I was livid! In my mind I shouted....I rebuke you Satan for influencing my children and takin...

Get up and dust yourself off

I often wonder why a person has the need to judge and criticize another person over and over again. It angers me at times. Part of me wants to retaliate by hurting that person's feelings. Letting them feel worse than how they've made me feel. But I must find peace in knowing that God will handle my enemies. He has favor over me. He will set a table for me in front of them. I must hold on to faith and use my anger wisely. I will get up, dust myself off and move on.

Past insecurities creep up sometimes

I am blessed to have found a man that loves me unconditionally, who treats me like a queen and shows me that I am the only woman in his life. But sometimes, no matter how secure the relationship, the past creeps up on you. Being in a 12 yr relationship built on infidelity, lies and pain, it makes you see & feel things that are not necessarily there in your current relationship. It is important to quickly catch those negative thoughts and dismiss them. If there is no obvious evidence of infidelity or broken trust, you must not feed into it. This type of insecurity can break down a strong union. Ladies! Be in control of your mind and emotions. Let go and let God.  Blessings!

The mistress

Thinking back to years ago when I was married to my ex-husband and he'd be out with other women. I viewed these women as evil creatures. I mean, how could they entertain a relationship with a married man? Did they not have a heart? Did they not have a conscious? Did they not care how much they were hurting me and my family? Did they not see how much I cried?  But today I see with unveiled eyes. The truth is that these other women were hurting too. Deep down there was a hole in their soul that they needed to fill. They were insecure, lonely and mislead by lust.  The attention of a married man made them feel wanted and loved. To be able to distract a married man's attention from his wife was an accomplishment. It felt great. It made them feel important, more beautiful and empowered. These were the feelings that they could never feel on their own. In reality, these women were broken inside!  Many were victims of...

I like the challenge

Why is it that we like the bad boys? You know what I'm talking about. That guy that seems to ignore you yet give you just enough attention to hook you. He is condescending and sarcastic. He tells you that he is not looking for anything serious but you find yourself wanting him. In your mind this is a challenge. You want to be the one to have him. Maybe he will change for you. Yet you find yourself answering that text he sent in the middle of the night after he had a few drinks.  Or answering that random call after a few weeks of being MIA. He knows you'll still let him come over.  You are convincing yourself that he actually cares. You think he really wants you. You think he really wants to spend time with you. After all, he took the time to reach out. You ignore the fact that it's 3am...that he only reaches out on some weekends. So what if the last time you spoke was a week ago.  Listen here! Open your eyes! NEWS FLASH.... You were just an after thought. An easy target. ...
